Narrative practice has transformed my interactions with others - professionally and personally.

The webinar CRPS: Physiotherapy is key was delivered on 29th June 2021 and a recording is available to members.
Unfortunately, there were some technical difficulties with the video featuring someone living with CRPS. To be respectful to the volunteer sharing her story we are unable to share this video more widely, but emphasise that her desire was to promote early awareness of signs and symptoms of potential CRPS and early intervention to optimise management.

Psychologically Informed Physiotherapy Training Report
In 2020, The Physiotherapy Pain Association , in partnership with The Health Innovation Network AHSN, St George’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Duke University, USA secured funding from Q Improvement Lab, a Health Foundation Initiative, to test innovative ideas to improve care and services for people living with pain. An evaluation report of this project – Psychologically Informed Collaborative Conversations (PIC-C) – now available to download.

NICE Guidance for Chronic pain (primary and secondary) published
The NICE guideline for Chronic pain (primary and secondary) in over 16s: assessment of all chronic pain and management of chronic primary pain has been published.
The guidance has been updated from the draft guidance that the PPA consulted on in August 2020. There PPA welcomes some small, but notable changes from the draft that were part of the PPA submission.
