On Tuesday 7th May Heather Wallace and Linda Pollock delivered a talk to 50 Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy students at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh.
The theme of the evening was delivering pain education to patients. Heather emphasised that creativity, compassion and curiosity were important from the patients point of view and even suggested that the textbooks get thrown away! Linda presented the evaluation of the successful Airing Pain radio broadcast through AbleRadio. Feedback has indicated that it helps reduce the isolation that many feel when living wiht chronic pain and an excellent educational resource for people with chronic pain and clinicians alike.
