Social Media Associate Editor – Advert & Terms of Reference

The editorial board of Pain and Rehabilitation - the Journal of Physiotherapy Pain Association is seeking a new social media associate editor, to start September 2023.

The initial appointment will be for one year, with a renewable option for a second year.

The goal of this voluntary position is to disseminate Pain and Rehabilitation - the Journal of Physiotherapy Pain Association publications to increase the journal’s influence and readership and to devise creative strategies to increase reach through social media.

The applicant should already be comfortable with using social media platforms (primarily Twitter) independently.

Expectations:

  1. Participating and actively contributing to editorial board meetings (current frequency is once a month, online platform) to assess the journal’s progress and plan for its future.
  2. Lead the social media outputs (primarily through Twitter) and prepare at least one social media post for every article published.
  3. Devise creative posts highlighting Pain and Rehabilitation - the Journal of Physiotherapy Pain Association and the published articles on social media.
  4. Approximately 1-2 hours per week time commitment.
  5. Support the journal by contributing research content where applicable (such as, original research articles, editorials)
